How Easy Is It to Make Money from the Internet?

I see two ways to make money from the Internet: build an Internet business like a blog or a store; find advice on the Internet that you can apply in real life.  Maybe that second choice sounds like a cheat to you.  But here is why it is not.

We cannot know how to do everything.  That is the simple truth.  None of us knows it all.  So if you learn how to make money offline by reading an article on the Internet, I think the Internet deserves credit for helping you.

Now it is true there is a lot of really bad advice out there.  How do you find good information when there are so many hucksters pushing every cheap con game they can find?  The answer is not simple.

I came across an article listing 10 blogs that tell you how to make money for free.  They don't force you to buy any stupid ebooks or training programs.  They just put the information out there for you to use.  How often do you come across information like this?

Here is another good site that tells you what it costs to make money on the Internet.  That's right, it calculates the costs down to the last penny.  If you think you can make money for free, you may be in for a rude awakening at the end of the year.  That income is only free after it covers your costs.

If you can break even with 10 sites that only make a total of 70 cents a day then anything you earn above that will be "free money from the Internet".  Now that is a pretty sweet deal.  But how easy it is to earn 70 cents a day from the Internet?

You may decide you will make more money simply by using coupons.  Using coupons is not really a way to make money; you may save money with them.  But if you start saving money on your purchases and then invest that savings so that it grows over time, you are kind of making money with coupons.  It's a crazy counter-intuitive way of looking at things.

If you live near a local flea market maybe you can find a way to make money there.  But flea market entrepreneurship is not for everyone.  You have to give up your weekends for the chance to unload some stuff.  If you can run a flea market stall without having to carry all your merchandise down there and without having to spend all day in the hot sun, you might just enjoy the experience better.

There are online flea market services too.  I guess they are like Etsy or Ebay.  I haven't tried them.  The point is that you have a lot of options for making money online, but you have to investigate each one and do some due diligence.  If someone is willing to recommend a program for free, without earning a commission for the referral, that is a good sign.
